Article 26 of the Consolidated Immigration Act
Non-EU entrepreneurs (individuals) who wish to set up their own business in Italy and obtain an entry visa and residence permit for ‘self-employment/entrepreneur’.
This visa and the subsequent residence permit may be requested by a foreign national who wishes to move to Italy to implement an investment plan of interest to the Italian economy.
The investment is considered to be of interest to the Italian economy if:
a) it is made by a foreign citizen who is already working as an entrepreneur in his country of origin;
b) it envisages the use of own resources of no less than €500,000, as well as the creation of at least three new jobs.
This assessment will be carried out by the Italian Embassy or Consulate that will have to issue the entry visa.
